The HTC One M8 from AT&T will start receiving the Extreme Power saving feature on the phone within the coming week. The update is set to roll out in the coming day. The news has come about as a result of an HTC employee sending out a tweet so it is something coming from a legitimate source. According to the source the update has received technical acceptance from the carrier so this may indicate that the update is not so far away.
This will also come with some minor fixes and adjustments just to make tighten up the operating system, but the addition of the power saving mode will be of most use to HTC One owners on AT&T. The update has rolled out to the international versions of the phone and some carriers of the phone received the update not so long ago.
The feature basically brings an improved battery backup for your smartphone. This adds to what is already considered a decent battery backup on the stock HTC One M8.
